Letting Go: An Autumn Reset
Letting Go: An Autumn Reset.
There is a quiet wisdom in the way trees prepare for autumn. They don't hold on to every leaf out of fear. They release what they no longer need so they can rest, restore, and grow again when the season turns. October invites us to do the same.
By this point in the year, many of us are carrying more than we realize: unfinished goals, old worries, cluttered spaces, and habits that no longer serve who we are becoming. A mindful reset doesn't have to be dramatic. It can begin with small, intentional moments that help you notice what you're holding and gently decide what to set down.
Begin with a morning cup. Before you reach for your phone, make a cup of tea and drink it slowly. Warm, grounding blends are especially supportive this time of year. Let this be the one part of your morning that belongs only to you. Notice the warmth of the cup, the scent, and how your breath slows. This simple ritual tells your body and spirit that you are safe to be present. If you'd like a blend made for your needs, our custom teas are crafted with that intention in mind
Ask yourself one honest question. Keep a journal nearby and write down your answer to this prompt: What am I holding on to that I'm ready to release? It might be a relationship pattern, a self-critical thought, or a commitment you made out of obligation. You don't have to fix it today. Naming it is the first step.
Clear one small space. Our surroundings often reflect our inner world. Choose one drawer, one shelf, or one corner of your room and clear it with care. As you work, thank the items you're letting go of for the role they played. You may be surprised by how much lighter you feel after clearing even a small area.
Rest without guilt. Autumn is a season of slowing down, not a season of falling behind. If your energy feels lower, honor that. Rest is part of the cycle, not a break from it.
This week, try to move through your days with the softness of the season. You don't need to let go of everything at once. Just like the trees, you release one leaf at a time.
With love,
